The Spring of 2012 has been a pretty exciting time for The Pyrates Way. Literally tens of thousands of issues have been downloaded and past advertisers are returning to check out all the web traffic we've incited for their businesses.

In full production mode is our new PRINTED The Pyrates Way Annual which will be THE definitive listing of every pirate service, entertainer, event and storefront we can find. In its 64 pages, you'll also find a few articles and Wenches of the Quarter for the year. If you're a subscriber, you'll see it in your mailbox prior to August 1st.

The Pyrates Way Issue Number 2 is NOW AVAILABLE for download, keeping with our promise of releasing one back issue each month during 2012. You might want to also take a look at our statistics page and check out the actual screen capture of April 2012 and the top 10 accessed files. With all this downloading going on, you can't afford to NOT advertise with us.

If you peruse around The Pyrates Way website, you'll find that every link on the page from the event calendar, to our History in perfect working order. Plus we've left LOTS of room for more items.

Future highlights of the website will include more audio and video links and more ways to get involved in our pirate hobby. On Facebook, we've started a new experiment called "Ye Olde Pyrate Exchange" where you can buy, sell, and trade pirate goods!

We've been getting lots of good feedback about our change-over to an electronic magazine. We thought there would be an outcry, but instead, folks are backing up our decision to go GREEN and help the planet (in a pyrate way of course. . . . gee, that's catchy).

Drumroll please. Issue #14 was downloaded over 35,000 times in it's first quarter of offering. . . . Ladies and Gentlemen. . . . Lassies and Lads. . . Wenches and Pyrates. . . . may The Pyrates Way proudly present. . . . . ISSUE #15!

Our new issues are slowly growing in their electronic personnae. Back issues and Issue #14 are pretty much just issues made for print with some links to advertisers and pages included. Issue #15 expands on the premise by adding more information outside of just links to static pages. Now we have links to videos (see the DVD review and the final salvo (which is now ALL video) ) and more is planned for Issue #16 and beyond. We plan to add "Prior" and "Next" links on the bottom of every page so that you don't have to look over to the Acrobat page viewer to go to the next page. We'll also be adding a ton of "Easter Eggs" within each issue, (Look for Arrrgyle ) to further expand your enjoyment of The Pyrates Way in ways we could never do with the printed issues.

Our new GREEN versions of the The Pyrates Way are going nuts! It's tough to believe that after only a month and a half of it's availability, ISSUE 14, has had over 25,000 downloads since its availablility. Remember, we keep the STATS updated on a monthly basis and we add a new back issue every month through 2012.

As promised, The Pyrates Way brings you another back issue in the green format as we present ISSUE 08 for your downloading and reading pleasure. Issue number 8 recaps the single best pirate event in history, PyrateCon 2008 when literally thousands of our fellow blokes descended on New Orleans for a weekend of plunder and public drunkeness!

Since we've gone completely GREEN, the cost of advertising in the new online The Pyrates Way will be MUCH less expensive and advertisers will reach an even bigger audience than ever before. Subscribers should notice that we are NO LONGER taking any new print subscriptions to The Pyrates Way. Those with outstanding subscriptions will receive our new "Pyrates Way Annual" for free at the end of each summer until their subscription balance has been fulfilled. We hope to have much new information as to the annual, which will highlight the previous year AND act as a pirate gift catalogue, giving ye time to order for the upcoming holidays.
